Based on area of Ph.D Research:
1. Vernacular Architecture - acceptance of vernacular houses, transformation mapping, documentation of prototypes / typologies;
II. Other areas (based on interest, academic and working knowledge): 2. Real Estate - property valuation, highest and best use option assessment, feasibility, market / demand assessment;
3. Settlement Consolidation pattern - origin and growth, factors responsible;
4. Heritage Monuments - mapping, documentation, facade control norms, etc.
5. Development Control Regulations - Compliance assessment in cases of Group Housing, gated Communities, etc.

"1. Statistical testing tools like T-Test, ANOVA, etc.;
2. Sales Comparison method, Residual / Discounted Cash flow method;"

In the context of houses constructed by individuals or the Government, the new houses have least relevance to the vernacular architecture of the place. Resultantly, identity is misplaced. The beneficiaries are also deprived of a HOMESTEAD and a sense of belongingness. The general reasons quoted are that time and people’s lack of willingness for building vernacular-relevant houses are the major constraints and that none are interested any more. Thus, the research aims to measure the degree of people’s acceptance of vernacular houses in rural areas.
