Hostels in the SPA Vijayawada Campus, having excellent infrastructure facilities for students who stay in. It has three independent Hostels Blocks (South, North and West Block) both forGirls andfor Boys, about 20,200 sqm of built-up area with capacity more than 777 students to reside comfortably. In the Girls hostels (South, Block), having a capacity of 327 students, whereas Boys hostels (South North and West Block) having a capacity of 450 students. The hostels in the campus consist of many green-rated parameters in terms of design and facilities to make a sustainable ecosystem. In overall, ‘Ragging Free’ or ‘Zero Ragging’ hostels.

The SPAV student housing and hostel designs has also recently bagged the prestigious "Eurasian Prize 2018" in the category of ‘Low and Mid-rise Housing’ for its impeccable design aspects with respect to sustainability. The hostels in the campus consist of many green-rated parameters in terms of design and facilities to make a sustainable ecosystem for the boarders to reside together and feel the space to be their “home away from home”!

DOs:
• Always carry valid identity card (ID)
• Always keep official telephone numbers to contact during emergencies.
• Always tuneto minimize the use of water and electricity consumption.
• Always switch off the lights and fans when you leave the room and similarly, corridor lights are to be switched off after 6 am.
• Always keep rooms neat, clean and litter free including common areas like corridors, bathrooms, common rooms, etc.
• Always pay hostel and mess bills on time.
• Always maintain discipline in the hostels and campus.
• Always park the cycles/two wheelers at identified parking spacesonly.
• Always coordinate with the hostel administration.

DON’Ts:
• No student allowed outside the hostels before 5.00 am and after 9.30 pm.
• No ragging.(It is banned,intolerable and serious offense).
• No illegal activities in the campus (strictly prohibited).
• No consumption/storage of narcoticdrugs and alcoholic beverages.
• No smokingin rooms and the campus (strictly prohibited).
• No cooking and no electrical appliances in the rooms.
• No disturbance to roommates and other residents/neighbours.
• No guestsallowed inside the hostels without officialpermission.
• No girls in boy’s hostel and no boys in girl’s hostels are allowed.
• No litter/garbagethrowing from balcony or windows and in the campus.
• No wastage of food, water, electricity, etc.
• No one allowed to take newspapers’ from common rooms to individual room.
• No playin the hostel corridors(strictly prohibited).
• No plates and cups are allowed outside the dining hall of the mess.

Furnished Accommodation
Accommodation for the hostel residents, either by single or shared room basis furnished with a cot, chair, table, shelf, etc. Students held responsible for any loss or damage to the property pertaining to hostels furniture and fittings. However, students are advised to bring their own mattresses, mosquito nets if any requirements.

ICT Facilitations
These hostels are having sophisticated ICT facilitations including the Internet (Wi-Fi) and high-end digital surveillance systems.

Solar Power and Water Heating System
Installed Solar Water Heating System for Hostels and Kitchen with 19200 liters per day capacity. It has Roof-top Solar Power generation with 183 KW per day with 108000 KWH units of generation per year.

Safety and Security
Safety and security is the prime priority of SPAV Hostels. Security services are being provided 24/7 in the resident hostels. No cooking and heaters or other similar kind of electrical appliances are allowed inside the hostels. Students are advised to keep their belongings safe and secure with his/her own lock and key.

First Aid Room
A sick room facility has being created in each individual hostel.

Washing Machine and Laundry Facility
Washing Machine and Laundry facility are provided in hostels. Apart from that, in Girls hostel sanitary incinerator is also there to maintain health and hygiene.

Nursery
It has a nursery having a different kind of native plant species.

Indoor Game, Common Area and other Facility
Few Indoor games like Table Tennis and Carom facilities are being provided in Common Areas of Hostels.

Other Facilitations
Hostels have ground water recharge pits, LED lightings with automatic sensors, Sewage Treatment Plant with 100 KLD capacity wherein recycled water is to be used for gardening and flushing of toilets, and a composting yard in the making for managing kitchen waste.
