Prof. Jain is from Architecture background with specialization in Landscape Architecture & Sustainable Development. She is the professor and former Dean Planning and Head Architecture at NIT Hamirpur (HP). She completed her B.Arch, M.Arch (Landscape Architecture) and Ph.D from VRCE Nagpur, SPA New Delhi and PTU, Jalandhar respectively.
Having more than 26 years of experience in both in Academics and Industry, she is the life member of Council of Architecture, Fellow Member of Indian Institute of Architects and Indian Society of Landscape Architects.
At Administrative level she is the Chairperson Senate, Chairperson Building Works Committee, Dean Research, Member BoG and Member Finance Committee of School of Planning and Architecture Vijayawada.
At Academic front she is the Chief Editor for the International Journal of Planning and Architectural Sciences of SPA Vijayawada, Member Review and Technical Committee for Journal of Architecture CCA Chandigarh, Patron for Regional (South IV) Workshop on “Institutional Digital Repository (IDR 2017)”-April 17 and for Global Initiative on Academic Network (GIAN) at SPA Vijayawada.
She authored a book on Landscape Architecture entitled “Landscape Architecture: History, Ecology and patterns and published nearly 50 research papers and book chapters. She has also undertaken the designing and planning of various Architectural and Landscape Projects.
She was the Chairperson for International Conference on Ürbanism and Green Architecture at NIT Hamirpur in October 2010. She has been the speaker for the various Short Term Training programmes, workshops and Conferences in India and abroad.
She is the member of the committee for proposed panel for discussion on Amaravathi Govt. Complex project, Member of the committee of A.P. Towhship and Infrastructure Development Corporation ltd. She has also been on the panel for evaluating and designing the Landscape projects of Andhra Pradesh Urban Green and Beautification Corporation Limited.
She received various Commendation/ Awards; like Research award from A-3 Foundation, Punchkula for carrying out the research work on Sustainable Development in the remote area of Himachal Pradesh. She also received the Commendation Certificate for carrying out the Community Service Scheme effectively and for successfully carrying out the responsibility as Dean Planning and Development at NITH. She was the recipient of the Best Faculty Award for the year 2006-07 Instituted by National Institute of Technology Hamirpur.
