INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT (IPR) POLICY, 2019 – SPA VIJAYAWADA (Process and Procedures)

The School has created IPR Cell for not only to create a new knowledge (creations) in the form of patents, trademarks, geographical indications, and industrial designs etc but also provides laws that bring stable, safe and sustainable eco-system over intellectual products, processes and services for the sole benefit of the society.
In fact, there are two branches of IPR: one is industrial property (first recognized in Paris Convention in 1883) and second one is copyright (first recognized in Berne Convention, 1886). Industrial property consists of patents, trademarks, geographical indications, and industrial designs etc. that are territorial in nature. IPRs are statutory rights that allow originators exploit their inventions or innovations exclusively for a particular period of time.
This cell conducts various national and international workshops, seminars and conferences in the respective field of study to encourage students, faculty and public. The details of the conferences mentioned below:
