Institute Innovation Cell (IIC)

Innovation & Entrepreneurship

School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada has established the Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) in line with the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India — with a purpose of systematically fostering the culture of innovation in the institute.

IIC at SPAV focuses on creating a complete ecosystem which fosters the culture of innovation — from idea generation to pre-incubation, incubation, and graduating from the incubator as successful start-ups.

It works closely with students to encourage creative energy, promote new ideas and innovation, and help create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures.

IPR Cell

Intellectual Property Rights

The School has created an IPR Cell for creating new knowledge — patents, trademarks, geographical indications, industrial designs — and providing a stable, safe, and sustainable eco-system over intellectual products and services.

IPR has two branches: Industrial Property (first recognized in the Paris Convention, 1883) and Copyright (first recognized in the Berne Convention, 1886). IPRs are statutory rights that allow originators to exploit their inventions exclusively for a particular period of time.

The cell conducts national and international workshops, seminars, and conferences to encourage students, faculty, and the public.
