Professional Summary

Dr Anil Kumar Chilakapati is an Architect with more than two decades of multidisciplinary(Academic, Research & Professional) experience in Architecture and Environmental Design. He has been a faculty in architecture at SPA Vijayawada since the school's inception. Dr Anil is particularly passionate about designing spatial configurations: consent to socio-spatial ecology and user-spatial interfaces. This has motivated him to 'create an architectural ideation' through the user's "sense, environment & behaviour". He specialised in designing high-rise structures, including Theatres, Malls, Software Offices, Housing, and luxury experiential interiors for stay-retreat & reviving lifestyles. Dr Anil contributes to developing concepts for real-time spatial operations (With a specific emphasis on Environmental Indicators such as "Optimization", – "Efficiency", – and "Complexity") in both Architecture and Cities by crafting algorithms of AI & ML. His current research is on the rationale explorations among the human brain and built environment, specifically emphasising "Spatial Navigation & Cognition in the Context of Architecture and Cities". He earned a Doctorate- PhD in architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Vijayawada with a critical research objective on the Intuitive navigation of passengers within the entrance lobby of a railway station. He completed the Summer Executive course on "Neuroscience for Architecture" in San Diego, California, USA in 2017. His research works were published in International Journals and presented at international conferences, including Harvard Medical School, Boston, University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), USA, Future Cities Research forum – Stockholm and DZNE Magdeburg, Germany.
