School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV), was established on July 7, 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MoE), Government of India, as an autonomous institution. SPAV is a premier Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI) directly under the MoE, for excellence in the fields of Planning and Architecture. Although in its nascent stage, with experienced faculty and guest lectures by eminent visiting faculty and industry experts from all over the country, the quality of education imparted and its focus on research puts SPAV in the league of leading institutes in the country.

Andhra Vigana Sammelan 2026 Ongoing
The Andhra Vigana Sammelan 2026 is being held at the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada on 28–29 September 2026. The science congress brings together researchers, educators, and students to deliberate on contemporary advances in science, technology, architecture, and planning for sustainable development.
Four-Day Training Programme on Reading, Interpreting & Digitising Building and Site Plans for Emergency Response using Geospatial Technology
A four-day hands-on training programme held from 24–27 September 2026 at SPA Vijayawada covering built environment & detailed drawings, GIS, AutoCAD, and 3D modelling, coordinated by the Department of Planning. 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM across 4 days and 12 sessions.
